Today I found an announcement that will be made more visible in a few days, that indicates that 25 million more names were added to the Record Search Pilot site, at pilot.familysearch.org.
Several new states were added for the US 1920 Census project, a complete Argentina 1869 National Census project (at least one province, if not more), the Guatemala City 1877 Federal Census which also may include parts of the outlying Department, also called Guatemala, and several other projects.
They added some other stuff on 8 January 2010, which is just below the search boxes on pilot.familysearch.org as well, so you can see the latest progress anytime.

Disclaimer about Google's insertion of ads.
You will notice that Google automatically places ads into new Blogger pages now, many are unrelated to the topics of the blog, so you can discard them. The ads therefore do not reflect the preferences or views of this blogger, nor do they reflect the views or preferences of the subject of this blog, the FamilySearch website. I do not endorse the advertisers for the same reasons, so that this will be a neutral view although pro-FamilySearch and its affiliates.
FamilySearch is a nonprofit organization, and therefore the ads on this blog will not reflect their site nor are they endorsed by anyone associated with FamilySearch including the users and volunteers who are the backbone of the site's many upcoming new features.

Welcome to FamilySearch News, the latest on what is happening at FamilySearch.
Welcome to this blog, I am just a regular user of the FamilySearch site, but what is coming is so extensive and major that there needed to be a place where things I find could be posted so that everyone could easily find it.
I'll gather things from FamilySearch itself, from the various subsites, some of which are under construction, and other projects that are going on.
